From the mid 90's Malcolm Hill tore up stages around Melbourne and across Australia as the country's most startling solo act. Whether supporting popular acts at major rock venues, touring with his mate Conway Savage, or putting on 'shows' in local pubs, Malcolm Hill always owned the stage. Ed Kuepper said, "I walked into the Continental and a guy was making a wall of noise on stage, but the audience (full house) was transfixed". Chris Boyd in the Herald Sun described Hill as "electrifying...hypnotising". Dave Graney said, "All his best work is full of palpable physical energy and the thrill of performance and creation.”
This album is a retrospective but also as close as you'll get to experiencing a Malcolm Hill gig. Grab a beer, pull up a chair by the stage and enjoy.
